Gene Bullington, B.S., C.F.E.
Chairman of the BoardNavy experience as Fire Control Technician. Graduated from the University of South Florida with a Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice. Lectured at the University of South Florida, St. Petersburg Junior College, Hillsborough Community College, Pinellas Police Academy, and numerous association seminars and conferences on fire origin and cause, accident reconstruction and electrical failure analysis. Past President of PARCO Arson Co-Op of Florida and Florida Chapter of the International Association of Arson Investigators. Court qualified in State and Federal courts in fire origin and cause and electrical failure analysis. Has performed extensive research into appliance failures. He has Diplomat Status with the American College of Forensic Examiners.
Curt W. Lessl, B.S.Ch.E
President and Senior Loss AnalystA graduate of the University of South Florida with a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering, Curt joined Interscience, Inc. in 1986 as an Environmental Engineer. In that capacity he provided technical assistance to a variety of industrial clients in the areas of Hazardous and Solid Waste Management, Air Pollution Control, and Water and Wastewater Treatment. When Pace Laboratories acquired the Environmental Division of Interscience, Curt established and managed the Engineering Department for their Florida Regional Office before accepting the position of Vice President of Operations at Diversified Environmental Services for five years beginning in 1990.
As a Professor of Engineering, Curt developed and taught courses in Physics, Engineering Economics, Microprocessor Design, Computer Programming, Process Controls, and Power Supplies at Tampa Technical Institute before returning to Interscience, Inc. in 1999 as a Loss Analyst, where he has applied his engineering background and environmental remediation experience in a variety of Product Failure Analysis and Indoor Air Quality projects.
A member of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers and the American College of Forensic Examiners, Curt was appointed President of Interscience, Inc. in 2002.
R. Scott Grybek
Founder of Interscience, Inc. Graduated from the University of Chicago. Extensive experience and training in chemistry, microbiology, fire origin and cause, and materials/failure analysis. Has lectured extensively on failure analysis and fire origin and cause. Past President of Florida Advisory Committee on Arson Prevention. Court qualified in State and Federal courts in fire origin and cause, chemistry, microbiology and various aspects of failure analysis. In house specialist in materials. Certified Fire Investigator through IAAI.
Robert C. Williams, B.S., C.F.E.I, C.F.E.
Vice President and Senior Technical Analyst.Graduated from the University of South Florida with a Bachelor's of Science in Chemical Engineering. Robert was a member of the Golden Key National Honor Society, Tau Beta Pi - National Engineering Honor Society, and AIChE. He was previously an electronics specialist with the U.S. Air Force and was a technical specialist with Jackson Products. Certified Fire and Explosion Investigator through NAFI, and has Diplomat status with the American College of Forensic Examiners
Irvine Lee Pack, B.S.
Senior Loss AnalystAwarded a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of South Florida . Irvine has two years experience as a commercial heating, ventilation and air conditioning design engineer as well as two years experience as a quality control engineer in commercial building construction. He has twenty years of firefighting experience with the City of Tampa Fire Rescue including fire scene origin and cause investigation, vehicle extrication and technical rescue operations. His background includes extensive experience in the analysis of various mechanical components relating to automobile system failures resulting in vehicular collisions and the evaluation of occupant and pedestrian injuries relative to the dynamic forces involved in those collisions. Irvine has been involved in the analysis of accidents involving industrial equipment and bodily injuries due to industrial accidents, the investigation of incidents involving structural failure and evaluation of defects in product design. Irvine is a Diplomate with the American Board of Forensic Engineering & Technology and a graduate of Northwestern University Traffic Institute, in traffic accident reconstruction. He has been qualified in civil and criminal courts.
